We engaged with Bloomingdale Construction in May of 2005 to complete a spec house to drywall that they had already begun building.  We requested modifications to the plans to make the house more functional for our family, and Bloomingdale Construction was flexible and willing to work with us to get to a suitable design.  Construction was completed and we were able to occupy the property in January 2006.
Bob and his crew were readily available, and were effective at meeting our needs in practically all instances.   We will say, in particular, that their attention to follow-up items and interest in our satisfaction after the house was completed has been exemplary, and a large part of our overall satisfaction with Bloomingdale Construction.
Building a home can be a challenging and emotional process, and we felt that we truly were partnered with Bob and his crew in trying to build the best home possible in the most efficient manner.  The end result has been a home that we are extremely proud of, and expect to enjoy for many years to come.

When we relocated to Rochester, MI in June 2006 all we had was a piece of real estate and a vision of what our ideal home would be.
Having looked at homes extensvely in the Rochester area, we were fortunate enough to cross paths with Bob Bloomingdale & Bloomingdale Construction.
Immediately impressed with Bob's professionalism and honesty, we were even more impressed by the quality of his prior work.  Doing our due diligence, we met with other contractors in the area, but Bob invested the most time with us ultimately providing us with the confidence that we would be able to build what we wanted on our tight budget and within our even tighter timetable.
During the four months of construction, we developed a personal and professional relationship with the entire Bloomingdale crew.  When an issue came up, as they were likely to do, the Bloomingdale team worked with us to insure that the best possible solution would result.  They were patient and responsive in every respect, and as a result we were able to move into a quality custom home built on time and on budget, without cutting any corners.
For a first time home building experience we feel that it could not have gone any better, which was a surprise given the many horror stories you here when you decide to undertake such a large project. 
We would recommend Bloomingdale Construction without any hesitation, and would use them again if the opportunity presented itself.  Thank you Bob, Jason, and John for giving us a beautiful home to be proud of and a great place to raise our family.
